Since 2004, Sculpture Walk has brought the finest works of public art sculpture to downtown Sioux Falls. Step back in time for a glimpse at turn-of-the-20th-century Sioux Falls with a visit to the Old Courthouse Museum. Local architect Wallace L. Dow designed the "largest courthouse between Chicago and Denver," which was completed in 1893. The courthouse was built with native Sioux Quartzite with stunning interior features such as slate stairs, granite pillars, and 16 murals depicting life in South Dakota during the early 1900s.
